Kudos to the longevity of the disciplined Favre. Hopefully he is a man who has developed more than just his biceps. I don't know anything about him other than what has been posted here. I admire those who fulfill their athletic gifts and I am hoping his on again off again participation is principled rather than rooted in an identity crisis because he has failed to engage in more than one area of his giftedness in life. There is great joy in watching a gifted athlete and greater joy still when his gifts and efforts reach beyond his personal identity and glory. And as crazy as this sounds, I'm so glad my Grandma Marie who was born & raised in WI, is no longer alive to see what Favre is up to. It would break her heart to know he went to the Vikings - not to mention all his shenanigan's the last couple of years ("I'm retired!" "No, I'm not retired" "Take me back Green Bay") Sheesh. This guy needs some counseling on what retirement means & feeding into that big ego. I don't deny that he looks great this season - he does.
