This video has been around for a while, but I laugh really hard every time I see it. If you’re a public speaker of any kind (but especially a pastor), then this is the type of blunder you stay awake at night fearing that you might one day make. This poor youth pastor blundered BIG TIME…and it was caught on tape. Watch and laugh!
And then pray that this never happens to you!

I’ve said some pretty dumb things from the pulpit, but nothing of this magnitude…yet. And Lord willing, I won’t!
Thats very funny. But lucky for him it was just a slip of the tongue and an accident. Some pastors purposely say really really stupid things.
Must be one of those modern translations he’s referring to.
That’s why you should never stray from your notes!
Bet he writes these things in his notes…and then crosses them off.
I know this guy. We went to college together. He did this several years ago and still it comes up. Poor guy!
thats called a “freudian slip” and judging from his t-shirt uniform i’d guess its right on the money!

Blake is one of our campus pastors here at CrossPoint Community in middle Tennessee. He is a fantastic speaker and has a great heart for God and people, and though I’ve watched this countless times, it never fails to make me laugh…
