A Star is Born!

I made a cameo appearance on the local news today.  My son’s school was locked-down this morning because of a SWAT situation in the neighborhood, and who did the local media turn to for all of the late-breaking information on the situation?  None other than me!

“Great job there radio boy! We always make fun of the dorks they interview. You were not a dork. You did great. Unlike the people who speak horrible, grammatically awful English. NOT foreigners. WHITE TRASH!!
Or alarmists who always say the same thing. “It’s scary! It’s so scary to think that this happens here. I didn’t think things like this happened around here but obviously they do. I dunno . . . . it’s just so scary.”
You on the other hand: Nice and Calm. Giving props to the authorities. Well done Potter.
As this was right in our neighborhood, my mom witnessed it and came right over to tell us. Too bad they didn’t interview her!!”

you did wonderfully! gave the information with a air of passion, and with some stylish finesse if i do say so myself. have you thought of auditioning for the “new face of fox” ?

  • Heather says:

I saw it and Isabella was shocked yelling “mom..there’s our friend!”

Dude…er…i suppose i should say Mr. Potter now that you’re famous. I think you portray the man on the street very well. You would need to change your name to Johnny, though…as in, what’s the word on the street, Johnny?

I am glad that you were able to be as articulate on the air as you are in person! No stuttering! I wonder if I’d be too nervous to speak! Glad the kids were all safe!

Good job, Mike. You looked so calm, cool and collected! :-) Kathryn texted me this morning saying they had a bomb threat at school and were on lockdown for 1 1/2 hours! Yikes!
