A Very Sad Picture

Here’s the saddest picture I took in Africa. I didn’t even know what I was taking until I saw the picture later. I just thought it was a nice picture of a dad hanging out with his boys with some vibrant colors in the background…

Snack Time in Nairobi

I’m Invincible!

I just received my final follow-up vaccination for my trip to Egypt last February. It was my 3rd trip to Africa in the last 4 years. In all, I visited 4 African countries – all which have a long list of needed vaccinations.

I asked the doctor yesterday if I could now chew sidewalk gum. She said she doesn’t recommend it – but she did concur that my body probably has enough immunity to do so.

I might.

Lost in Egypt!

I received some more pictures from my trip in February to Egypt from Charles Wolf, the guy with whom I traveled.  I’ll post some more in a few days, but these two pictures together can aptly be titled, “Lost in Egypt!”

Motorcycle Safety? Nah…

After spending 2 weeks in Egypt and Kenya, I’ve decided to rethink my motorcycle riding habits. I’ve been taught to wear the proper protective gear, to obey all traffic laws, and to never put more than one passenger on the back of my bike. But in light of the motorcycle riding habits I observed in North Africa, I think I’ll lighten-up a bit on all those unnecessary rules. Here’s what I saw…
